Pile support foundation and structural slab. Structural slab had varying thicknesses from 8” to 16”. Existing utilities had to be surcharged prior to pile installation. Building footprint needed to be over excavated to a depth of 10’ below grade to remove the existing saturated soil/peat and replace it with lightweight aggregate. Ground water was 3’ below grade and the waterway onsite had a tidal influence which required extensive dewatering. Multiple concrete slabs on deck and roof deck.
